On behalf of the Ocean City Beach Council, I would like to welcome you to the Ocean City Beach Community located in North Topsail Beach, NC. The Ocean City Beach Community is a vibrant, beautiful, ocean front community on the north end of Topsail Island in North Carolina. Ocean City Development stretches one mile long along the Atlantic Ocean and extends across the island from the ocean to the sound.

Ocean City was founded in 1949 as a family oriented beach for African Americans who at the time did not have the opportunity to purchase property anywhere else on the Atlantic Coast. The community not only still exists, but is thriving today. It has withstood the challenges of hurricanes, the economy, and beach erosion. Many of the property owners are third generation in addition to a large number of new property owners and homeowners.

If you have not been here before, we would invite you to come and visit this quiet, friendly community with its beautiful beach. Residents and visitors alike enjoy fishing, swimming, and just relaxing. We have a chapel where Episcopal Services are held during the summer months at 11 AM each Sunday. We also have special events such as our annual Jazz Festival on July 4th weekend. We hope to see you soon.
